    ...on my quest...
    Friday, May 15, 2009

... to upgrade my wardrobe into something more sophisticated for my age, and also to honour my gratitude towards australia by doing my part in stimulating the country's economy (although sadly, I did not benefit from the stimulus package at all), I found the most gorgeous dress ever from forevernew....

A satin-like mod shift dress in plum (i refuse to say its purple) as shown in this pic ripped from their website, and in reality looks like this...

At the initial glance, this piece of weightless, shiny, i-have-no-where-to-wear-to fabric did not tempt me enough to be wanting to part with $89.90, although I've been eyeing it for some time from the website and the window display.

The surprise came only when I finally took it to the fitting room, which revealed this gorgeous other side of the dress...

How cool is this! IT's now a more feminine baby-doll cutting frock!

I thought I took the wrong dress when I was in the fitting room. Whoever designed this is a genius. The front and the back of dress can be worn differently, which is so essential in hard times with money. One price for two looks! I know i still no place to wear to, but it's a nice addition to my dressy collection.

For the more mundane days, another winter splurge to battle office air-conditioning and the wicked wind...

A long knit cardi from dotti. Ok, this is purple. Purple seems to exude a more urban feel in winter fashion, because pink is mostly used in the bohemian/country line (me no like) of winter designs. Yet, i already have something pink that I'm wanting to get...

Then I have more online splurge from the past few weeks, which took me many nights to hunt for the right deal...

Bihada izhizoku make-up remover. Creamy and gentle to the eyes. And I'm still a sucker for cute packaging. Delievered from hongkong.

Solid perfume in a cute container. Seriously, I like the packaging.

My first Majolica Majorca buy (pathetic!). I like the colour and the sheen of this lipgloss. Very comfortable application.

Pair of bling house slippers. Pinks not in again....
